Systems Engineering

Anyone can build
the machine.
We own the system.

A machine meets a specification. A system delivers a process outcome — and only one of those has a return. We define the process, design the system around it, and stay accountable through commissioning and the life that follows.

What We Do

One team across every discipline the system touches.

Most projects split these across vendors who never speak. The failures then appear at the interfaces — where no contract assigns responsibility.

Process Engineering

We start with what the product demands — rate, sequence, tolerance stack, handling constraints — and treat the specification as a hypothesis to be tested, not a requirement to be obeyed.

Mechanical Design

Robust, simple systems that serve the process without introducing problems of their own. Settling, resonance, and feed reliability engineered up front — not discovered at runoff.

Controls & Integration

Architecture built for the operator at 2 a.m. and the engineer extending it in three years. Safety designed in, recipe flexibility preserved, expansion headroom deliberate.

Our Process

Six phases. One owner. No handoffs.

The same team carries your project from the first process question to the last line of documentation — and stays reachable long after the system is running.

01Phase

Define

Start from what the product demands — not from the machine you pictured.

Before any mechanism is chosen, we interrogate the process itself: throughput, sequence, tolerance stack, part handling behavior, and the failure modes your product is prone to. We establish scope, schedule, and a single communication path, then agree on what "working" actually means in measurable terms.

DeliverablesProcess definition · Requirements sign-off · Project charter · Schedule & communication plan
02Phase

Design

Mechanical, electrical, and controls designed together — not in sequence.

Concepts become a complete system design with every discipline in the same conversation from day one. Interfaces are resolved on paper, where they are cheap. We design for durability, for assembly, and for the maintenance technician who will open this machine five years from now.

DeliverablesDesign reviews · Mechanical models & drawings · Electrical schematics · Control architecture · Updated schedule
03Phase

Source

Procurement managed as a schedule risk, because that is what it is.

Components are specified for availability and lifecycle as well as performance. We sequence purchasing against the build plan, track lead times actively, and flag supply risk early enough to engineer around it rather than absorb it. Manufacturing for quality and for cost begins here.

DeliverablesBill of materials · Procurement plan · Lead-time & risk register · Progress updates
04Phase

Build

Fabrication, assembly, and integration by the team that designed it.

Design intent survives into the build because the people building it are the people who drew it. Mechanical assembly, panel build, and wiring proceed against a work breakdown structure, with progress and incoming parts visible to you throughout — not summarized at the end.

DeliverablesWeekly progress & photos · Assembly milestones · As-built tracking · Updated schedule
05Phase

Commission

Confirmation, not discovery.

Because integration was owned from the start, commissioning is where failure points are eliminated and performance is proven — not where the system is assembled conceptually for the first time. We validate rate, yield, and recovery behavior against the process definition set in Phase 01, run the system to standard, and prove it in front of you.

DeliverablesFunctional & performance validation · Safety verification · Runoff to agreed rate · Acceptance sign-off
06Phase

Support

Built for the decade after launch.

A complete documentation package transfers with the system, and your team is trained to run and maintain it. Then we stay available — for the product variant you did not have at design time, the throughput increase, the spare you need on a Friday. The system is architected to accept all three.

DeliverablesFull drawing set & models · Software & HMI source · Maintenance manuals · Spare parts list · Operator training · Ongoing support
